This shock is what will remove it. Might take a few tries. The rotor to crank fit is a machined taper that makes it very tight. Once it moves any at all, it will come right off. There is a woodruff key in there also.

WebApr 19, 2010 · Sturgell. If Polaris flywheels can be pulled with that type of puller and it won't come off with some massaging with a hammer then get it good and tight then let it set overnight. Repeat until it finally breaks loose, if Polaris has a specific puller like Honda and Yamaha then quit being cheap and go buy one.
