Webb6 dec. 2016 · I just got my Bob Colosi saddle in the mail today. I lightly sanded it to make a precise fit in the slot. But, there are no grooves in the saddle. Should there be on an acoustic guitar ? All the saddles on my guitars have them. The instructions he sent along with it, mentioned all sorts of adjustments, but nothing about making any grooves.
Webb5 sep. 2012 · Your saddle isn't suppose to have any grooves in it, the nut, at the headstock end of the guitar, on the other hand, IS suppose to have slots for the strings. Now if you're talking about the bevels, well that's for intonation. Your old saddle was and intonation adjusted one, the new one isn't.
